Alice Wake was a well known and accomplished photographer and is also the wife of Alan Wake.

Biography[]

Events of Alan Wake[]

Alice Wake was first seen on a ferry ride with her husband Alan Wake, when they arrive at Bright Falls they head over to Divers Isle, they head inside and Alice heads upstairs. Alice calls to Alan to head upstairs to the study room for a surprise, which is a typewriter and pages.

Alice thinks that Alan could get his creative juices going since he hasn't written in two years. Alan gets frustrated by this and storms out of the house and as soon as he did the lights go out causing Alice to scream in fright due to her crippling fear of the dark.

Alan runs back into the house, terrified. Alice gets trapped at the bottom of Cauldron Lake and is held hostage by the Dark Presence. Alan sets out to save her using the clicker. Eventually Alan overcomes the Dark Presence and frees Alice at the cost of him being trapped at the bottom of the lake. Alice swims out of the lake and onto shore.

Events of Control[]

Alice Wake had many nightly "visits" by Mr. Scratch who would appear out of nowhere and chase her down the corridor, she had made attempts to keep the lights on during the night but this resulted the relevant hallways light bulb breaking every night. This led to Alice to reach out to the Bureau in 2017, upon which she was brought into the Oldest House for an interview that was conducted by Agents Derek Shah and Caroline Dempsey.

However, when Alice was within the Oldest House, the Thing-That-Had-Been-Hartman sensed her presence and went berserk, escaping containment in the Investigations Sector and rampaging through the sector until the FBC was forced to abandon it entirely, sealing it behind its Firebreak.
