    It's finally here.

Last week, Control finally launched worldwide, and already our fantastic wiki has been exploding as a result. Jesse's page alone has gotten more than 13,000 views in the past week - which is, needless to say, huge! As a result, we've gained a lot of new fans here in the Control community, and a lot of new contributors to the wiki as well. I'll talk in future blog posts about the game itself, but for now, because of the exponential growth of the wiki, I feel the need to lay down a couple of guidelines for how pages should be edited and created moving forward. This will help keep the wiki simple and consistent, which in turn will help everyone in navigating it.

With that all said, here's the guidelines to follow:

    1. Be careful n…

It has now been one year since Control was first announced at E3 2018, and moreover, it's also the first anniversary of the Control Wiki! It's pretty safe to say we've been here since quite literally day one, and personally, I find a lot of pride in how much this wiki has grown in the community, and excitement in how far we still have to go. Contol won't be released for another 74 days or so, according to the cute little countdown on our home page, but we're still on the home stretch for the game's release. Once it comes out, it's obvious we'll have our work cut out for us here on the wiki to fill in all of the new information. Out of respect for Remedy and their amazing games, and in the tradition of other wikis (especially Quantum Break …

Welcome to the marvelous month of May, FBC agents! Control is just under four months away, and the hype has only grown, with both old Remedy fans and new ones eagerly anticipating the mysteries to be discovered on August 27. If you're a pre-order type of person, you can purchase Control right now at https://controlgame.com/ for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game's deluxe edition is filled with exclusive content if you're willing to spend the extra money. Either way, Control promises to be a deep and exhilarating experience, no matter how you choose to explore it. Remedy's reputation speaks for itself on the delivery of exciting, fast-paced, story-driven single-player experiences.

For today's blog post, I feel like taking a look back …

It has been a crazy month for Control. Beginning with the Game Informer exclusive coverage that started at the turn of March, we've been seeing a nonstop barrage of new information, secrets, and announcements. I almost feel ill-equipped to cover it all, so instead of forcing myself to recall everything, I'm going to use my last blog post (February 2019) as a framework to set up everything here.

After eight months of patience, we've finally been given a release date from Remedy! The release date was originally to be announced on March 26, on the same day as the new Gameplay Trailer, but it was leaked on the Microsoft Store a few days prior, which Remedy subsequently confirmed to be the correct date. A little disappointing that we didn't get …

Now that we're nine days into March, it feels like a great day to do a wiki update for February! Some may call that illogical, but I would respond by saying logic and reason have no place here in the Oldest House. 2019 has finally begun (another memo I'm late on, I know), and with it comes the rapid approach of Control's final release date! Here's some news and updates about the wiki and the game from the past couple of months.

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the approach of Control's release in 2019, but the official date has remained stubbornly elusive. As per tradition, Remedy has been very secretive when it comes to details about Control, and many consider us lucky to even know as much as we do. Whether you're holding out for the ga…

2019 draws closer and closer, and with it, Control's unknown release date rapidly approaches. It could be anywhere from January to December, but the optimistic fans among us are hoping for a release sometime in the spring. The past few months have been an exciting stream of updates and revelations from Remedy, and we've learned more about Control than ever before in that time. Perhaps one of the most important was Control's main cast reveals: James McCaffrey - the legendary Max Payne - as Zachariah Trench , and Matthew Porretta , known as the voice of Alan Wake , as Dr. Casper Darling. So at least one of my Control theories has been confirmed. :)

The wiki has grown a lot since its initial creation. Though there aren't many people on it curr…

Two months after the announcement of Remedy Entertainment's newest game title Control, we've been given a lot of exciting information, and there's also a lot of unanswered questions lingering in the air. The mystery and intrigue for this upcoming title is real. The Control Wiki will hopefully continue to be a hub for reliable information about Jesse Faden , the FBC , and the Oldest House as we continue to see Dev Diaries and other revelations about Control's world from the developers. As a dedicated contributor to this wiki, I'd like to begin these blog posts to talk about information and concepts that lie outside of the Wiki space and in the realm of speculation and fan theory. Consider them collections of unrelated thoughts and informati…
