Biography[]
Carla Vaughn and Hubert Tan, as research staff, were often co-opted by Head of Research Casper Darling to serve as his assistants, also commonly appearing in his presentation videos. She conducted various research tasks under his order - some in collaboration with Dr. Tan - including documentation for the Victorian Mirror Altered Item[1] and an analysis of Thresholds.[2] Both Vaughn and Tan were considered for staffing the Dimensional Research department, and Vaughn was also involved in the Prime Candidate Program, conducting face-to-face interviews and evaluations with Dylan Faden.[3][4]
Hubert Tan was romantically interested in her and attempted to ask her out to dinner,[5] which Vaughn either did not notice or simply did not reciprocate.[6] Vaughn's personality was cold and impersonal, but professional. She seemed to regard Dr. Darling's quirks as odd, but was still willing to help him out as much as possible.
