Central Executive is a location within the Executive Sector of the Oldest House. It is the main hub of the Executive Sector and also functions as the primary mission hub location in Control. Jesse Faden's abilities and weapons cannot be used while in Central Executive.
Central Executive is the location of the first available Control Point which is also the only Control Point that allows Jesse to change her outfits.
Background[]
Central Executive is the heart of the Bureau's administrative affairs. Many of the Bureau's top personnel, including the Head of Research, the Head of Communications, and the Vice Chief of Staff all hold office spaces in Central Executive. Under the orders of Head of Security Lin Salvador, Central Executive also houses the containment enclosure of the Songmaster Jukebox Object of Power. The area's high traffic and location would prevent misuse of the object without reducing its accessibility.[1]
During the Hiss invasion, Central Executive was corrupted and rendered unstable by the Hiss. A small number of Bureau personnel wearing HRAs, including Emily Pope, survived inside a Safe Room.
Events of Control[]
Central Executive is the first location in the Oldest House to be reclaimed from the Hiss by Jesse Faden, who cleanses its Control Point after defeating the Hiss-corrupted Ranger Second Class Polaski. Because of this, the sector hub becomes the main center of operations for the Bureau's response against the Hiss. As the situation advances, the Bureau's internal security and Rangers direct refugees towards Central Executive,[2] while surviving researchers under the lead of Emily Pope put their focus on understanding the Hiss — and how to fight it.
Later into the Hiss invasion, Central Executive also houses Dylan Faden, who has been corrupted by the Hiss but retains his intelligence, or at least some part of it.
Layout[]

Map of Central Executive (second floor rooms given arbitrary labels)
Central Executive is a large cubic room with two floors organized around the central Control Point. See the Collectibles section below for detailed information on the Collectibles in Central Executive.
Ground level[]
The ground floor is initially a large empty space, but it will become more and more furnished, and populated by more and more Bureau personnel, as the main story progresses. Helen Marshall will briefly appear here at the end of the main story mission Threshold, while Simon Arish will relocate here and take Marshall's place upon starting the main story mission The Face of the Enemy. The Control Point for Central Executive is also here, directly underneath the large inverted pyramid and flanked by several short pillars.
From the ground floor, the Sector Elevator can be accessed via the hallway in the west to access other Sectors. A Safe Room is located in the northeast corner, with a single Collectible inside. A security checkpoint in the southwest corner leads to the containment cell of the Songmaster Jukebox, which is locked until starting the mission Put a Record On. There is also a Clearance Level 3-locked security room which contains a Collectible, a standard secured unit, and a radio which plays "Constrain" by Byproduct.
The entrance to the Board Room, where Emily Pope stays for the entire main story after the first mission, is on the east wall. A door in the north leads to the Accounting Department and the Cafeteria. A Clearance Level 1-locked security room can be found in the small stairwell just outside the door, with a standard secured unit inside.
Second floor[]
The second floor, which encircles the ground level, contains various separate office rooms and two exits. The west hallway leads to just outside the Director's Office, while the south hallway leads to Executive Affairs.
For explanation purposes, the second floor rooms will be arbitrarily labelled as shown in the map above.
