Central Research is a location within the Research Sector of the Oldest House. It is the central hub of the Research Sector, with the Sector Elevator and connections to Luck & Probability, the HRA Lab, the Firebreak and Dr. Darling's Office for example. Central research has very blocky and squared off architecture with large trees standing in the middle.

Hidden Locations

1. On one of the walls, there is an office that Jesse can not reach without getting to high ground and either evading into it or firstly shooting the windows of the office, then levitating into it. Inside the office is a normal office layout.
2. At the top of the Central Research, there is a balcony that Jesse can levitate to. The balcony has stairs, taking the stairs down will lead to a sound booth area. Interestingly, activating the sound in the sound booth will make objects near the speakers start to float including Jesse's attire.

Trivia

• The prominent stairways in Central Research were inspired by Japanese architect Kenzō Tange’s work in the Kurashiki City Art Museum in Okayama, Japan.
