Control 2, formerly referred to as Codename Heron, is the upcoming sequel to Control, being developed by Remedy Entertainment. It is currently in a design stage of development.
Development[]
Control 2 was announced by Remedy Entertainment on November 11, 2022. It will be co-developed and co-published by Remedy and 505 Games, with Mikael Kasurinen returning as director for the Control franchise, and will continue to use the Northlight game engine.[1][2]
Remedy CEO Tero Virtala stated that Control 2 had entered a proof-of-concept stage as of February 2023, with "detailed concepts on the game vision and all creative areas including the gameplay, narrative and art." He further stated that Control 2 will expand the story and world of the original Control.[3] As of October 31, 2023, Control 2 remains in a proof-of-concept stage:[4]

One of the door symbols in the Oceanview Motel, the two broken concentric circles with a line sticking out from the bottom, is internally named motel_door_symbol_control2_a.tex, suggesting a connection to Control 2.
