esseJ was an altered manifestation of Jesse Faden created by the Victorian Mirror. Jesse believed that esseJ's hostility was due to the Victorian Mirror being affected by The Hiss. Jesse was forced to fight multiple copies of esseJ, and considered them nothing more than pale imitations of herself. After completing this Self-Reflection, Jesse will be able to find the Asynchronous Suit in one of the cells in the Synchronicity Lab.
Trivia[]
- When esseJ greets Jesse in the Synchronicity Lab, one of her reversed lines of dialogue is "I'm much wilder than you". This may be a reference to the character of Beth Wilder from Quantum Break who, like esseJ and Jesse, was played by Courtney Hope.
- All new animations had to be created for each of esseJ's abilities; due to time constraints, the development team wound up having to leave her Melee attack out.[1]
