Executive Affairs is a location in the Executive Sector of the Oldest House.

Background[]

Executive Affairs is one of the first areas visited by Jesse Faden after she becomes the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control, forced to fight Hiss Guards in order to pass through and gain access to Central Executive.

Executive Affairs also appears in the nightmare that Jesse experiences after Hedron is destroyed by the Hiss, where she is forced to complete repetitive office work as a new low-level Bureau employee until she finally realizes and breaks free of the cycle.

Layout[]

Executive Affairs consists of a set of divided rooms in the west and a more open area in the east. The western and southwestern side of the area holds meeting rooms separated by staff restrooms, with an office in the middle belonging to Mike Hill, who has unfortunately become a Hiss Agent. The eastern half is centered around a large pillar, with a large desk area in the southeast. A Safe Room in the east contains a Collectible and a secured unit.

There are two exits from this location, one leading to the Director's Office in the northwest and to Central Executive in the northeast.

A new room opens up in the south wall, between the meeting room and the desk area, after completing Take Control, although it is also shown on the area map for the entire game. This room is completely empty.

Hidden Location[]

A Hidden Location can be found and accessed in Executive Affairs. The area in question is the top of the large pillar, where another secured unit can be found. The Levitate ability is needed to reach this location. After Levitating up once, maneuver to and momentarily land on one of the floating Hiss Agents; this will allow for a second Levitation, which will be enough to reach the top of the pillar.

Collectibles[]

Notes[]

A desk in the northern part of Executive Affairs contains two nameplates for Daniel Jones and Helen Marshall. Marshall's role is listed here as the "Director's Secretary". Marshall's nameplate comes from the Hiss nightmare at the start of Take Control, in which Marshall is not seen but is apparently Zachariah Trench's secretary; its placement in the standard version of the area is most likely unintentional.
