Altered Items is one of the Collectibles in Control. It is an episode of Threshold Kids, a FBC-produced video series used to explain paranatural concepts to young children.

[Threshold Kids intro, approximated: "Step into the FBC, there's lots to do, there's lots to read, but look don't touch, and don't scream much, let's join the Threshold Kids, let's join the Threshold Kids!"]
[a television is shown before Topher and Meg walk up]
TOPHER: TV! Let's watch "Donkeys in Space"!
[Meg stops Topher from going near the TV]
MEG: It's not safe.
TOPHER: But Star Captain Hee Haw!
TOPHER: Can I poke it with a stick?
[Meg turns to look at the TV before answering]
MEG: Okay.
[Meg touches the TV with the stick]
MEG: Bureau rule number 74: Always be suspicious of things that weren't there before.
TOPHER: What?
[Meg pokes the TV with the stick multiple times while Topher slowly stops cowering]
MEG: Looks safe to me!
[Meg throws away the stick]
TOPHER: "Donkeys in Spaaaaace"!
MEG: Wait. It's not even plugged in-
[Topher turns on the TV and it starts floating while displaying static; Topher and Meg scream]
TOPHER: Captain Hee Haw, why?
Location[]
The TV holding this Collectible can be found in the Containment Sector, on the third floor of the Archives. It is located in a soundproofed room on the south side of the Archives' third floor, accessible via a side doorway.
