Found Footage is a side mission in Control's first expansion. It becomes available after completing the mission "The Foundation" and the first objective of the succeeding one, "The Nail".
Overview[]
The mission can be initiated by exploring the Foundation, using both newly gained abilities, Fracture and Shape. Shape is needed for Jesse Faden to reach the entry of a cavern, aloft in the Foundation's Cave System, Fracture opens up the Chasm inside the cavern. Entering it will give Jesse her first mission briefing.

- Jesse enters a dark pit in the Cave System, where she finds an Altered Item on the loose.
- Mission end
- Jesse uses the light of the Altered Item to escape the caves, after which she secures the Item in a mobile containment unit.

- Use the Altered Item to escape the Chasm (Foundation / Chasm)
- Contain the Altered Item (Foundation / Chasm)
Rewards[]
In addition to the Shifting Fragment, a rare Mod and three Ability Points, VHS Tape Procedures is collected upon containing the Item.
