Doctor Hubert Tan was a research specialist for the Federal Bureau of Control.
Biography[]
Hubert Tan and Carla Vaughn, as research staff, were often co-opted by Head of Research Casper Darling to serve as his assistants, also commonly appearing in his presentation videos. He conducted various research tasks under Darling's order - some in collaboration with Dr. Vaughn - such as documentation for the Victorian Mirror Altered Item,[1] an analysis of the Atlas as an expression of the Oldest House's structure,[2] and research on an airplane wreck suspected to be connected to an Altered World Event.[3] Tan was selected to be a member of the Dimensional Research department, and complained about Ahti's ability to enter a heavily restricted area with ease.[4]
He had a romantic interest in Carla Vaughn and attempted to ask her out to dinner,[5] which Vaughn either did not notice or simply did not reciprocate.[6]
Tan's personality was reserved and quiet. He found Darling to be odd, especially in how he included the two in his presentations.
