The Mail Room is a location in the Executive Sector of the Oldest House.
Background[]
The Mail Room is a section of the Communications Department. It is part of the Bureau's internal mail transportation system. The Mail Room also houses the office of the Head of Communications, through which the Hotline Chamber can be reached. Alberto Tommasi, the most recent Head of Communications, was corrupted in the Hiss invasion and must be fought by Jesse Faden when she enters the Mail Room for the first time.
The Mail Room is also the site of Executive: Personnel Protection, which is a repeatable Bureau Alert. During this mission, friendly Bureau personnel will be fighting against waves of Hiss enemies in the Mail Room.
Layout[]
The Mail Room is a large rectangular space with three levels, entered via the Communications Dept.. The Mail Room Control Point can be found just outside the Mail Room itself. It has three entrances: one on the first floor and two on the second floor. All three doors are locked with Clearance Level 1, and only the door on the first floor can be unlocked from the outside.
Around the open middle space of the first floor, the second level acts as an overhang covering the first floor's edges. Eight mail tube columns are interspersed around the edges of the Mail Room, extending all the way up into its ceiling. The edges of the room can be used as cover from the attacks of Hiss-corrupted Tommasi during his boss fight. One Collectible can be found on the first level, on the most northwestern mail tube column.
The second level can be accessed via stairs along the north and south walls. The office of the Head of Communications, Alberto Tommasi, can be found on this level, at the very western end of the room. Tommasi's office contains three Collectibles as well as one secured unit hidden behind the central console. From here, the Hotline Chamber can be accessed.
There is a third level of catwalks above the second floor along the north and south walls, only accessible via the Levitate ability. A secured unit can be found on this level.
