The Third Thing is a story mission in Control's second expansion, AWE. It is preceded by A Dark Place and followed by It's Happening Again.
Obtaining[]
It is received while Jesse Faden talks to Frederick Langston over an intercom at the Active Investigations' elevator, completing the preceding mission A Dark Place.
Overview[]
- Mission start
- Jesse begins her search for Hartman, checking the sector's AWE investigation wings.
- Mission end
- With nowhere left to hide, Hartman flees into the Bright Falls AWE site.
- Completion of Eagle Limited AWE area
- She manages to return power to the Eagle Limited AWE site and chases Hartman out of the area's corridors.
- Completion of Fra Mauro AWE area
- After returning power to the Fra Mauro AWE site, Jesse guarantees Hartman can no longer hide in that investigation wing.

- Return to Active Investigations (Investigations / Active Investigations)
