What a Mess: Burn the Trash is a side mission in Control.

Overview

Mission start

Jesse helps Ahti by burning the trash piled up around the Furnace in the Maintenance Sector.

Objectives

• Burn the trash around the Furnace. (Maintenance / Furnace Chamber)

Walkthrough

This mission becomes available after meeting Ahti during Directorial Override. It is the first of Ahti's janitorial side missions, and can be started immediately after talking to him by taking the clipboard found on a nearby wall.

The mission itself involves finding and disposing of six toxic waste barrels found around the Furnace Chamber (closest Control Point is the NSC Coolant Pumps Entrance). Disposing of the barrels involves means them into the Furnace. The barrels are in the following locations:

1. Directly ahead, on the T-shaped platform in the middle of the room.
2. In the southeast corner, near a forklift.
3. In the northwest corner, under the spinning fan turbine.
4. In the middle area between the two turbines on the north wall of the room.
5. In the roughly southwest part of the lower level, behind a machine.

• In the roughly center-north part of the lower level, next to a pillar.

After all six barrels are disposed of, the mission will complete, rewarding 1 Threshold Remnant, 1 random Weapon Mod, and 2 Ability Points.
